Trump warns Putin over Russia-Ukraine war

Kathmandu. US President Donald Trump has said that the US may increase sanctions against Russia if Russian President Vladimir Putin is not ready to negotiate an end to the war with Ukraine.

At the press conference held after assuming the office of President, in response to a question on this issue, Trump stated that the United States may increase sanctions against Russia.

Trump has said that his administration is in contact with Ukrainian President Zelensky and will soon talk to Russian President Putin.

Trump also said that if he were the president, war between Russia and Ukraine would not start.

Trump said in a press conference that NATO countries should increase their spending on defense from 2 percent to 5 percent.
