The United Arab Emirates is participating in the 56th annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, from 19 to 23 January 2026, with a delegation of more than 100 ministers, senior officials and private sector leaders. The delegation is led by Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, representing the country’s continued engagement with the global forum.
As the fifth largest delegation at the forum, the UAE’s participation reflects its focus on future-oriented sectors such as artificial intelligence, digital transformation and public-private collaboration. Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, minister of cabinet affairs, said the strong presence reflects the country’s economic priorities and long-term vision. He said the UAE’s participation in the World Economic Forum Davos 2026 reflects its vision to reinforce the UAE’s active presence and constructive contribution across international forums, strengthen international cooperation, and deepen effective regional and global partnerships.
Humanitarian and development issues are central to the UAE’s agenda at Davos, including food security, health, water and humanitarian action, alongside broader discussions on social stability and sustainable development. The participation emphasises addressing economic priorities while contributing to shared global responsibilities.
The UAE Pavilion, operating under the theme “Impossible is Impossible” for the fourth consecutive year, showcases the breadth of the national economy across sectors including energy, trade, finance, industry and technology. Its programme highlights the country’s role in advancing energy transition, sustainability and climate finance while maintaining economic growth and energy security.
