Kathmandu: US Ambassador to Nepal, Dean R. Thompson, engaged in a meaningful discussion with Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chairperson, Rajendra Lingden, shedding light on bilateral interests.
Mohan Kumar Shrestha, spokesperson and Head of the Publicity Department of the RPP, revealed that the meeting, held at the RPP party central office in Dhumbarahi, touched upon various areas of mutual concern.
During their exchange, Chairperson Lingden expressed apprehensions regarding reports suggesting US involvement in Nepal’s Parliament to endorse atheism. In response, Ambassador Thompson assured that the United States has no such intentions or investments in Nepal.
The Ambassador underscored the enduring religious harmony in Nepal and reaffirmed the US’s commitment to repatriating stolen idols back to Nepal, restoring them to their rightful places in monasteries and temples.
