Kathmandu: World Bank Country Director for Nepal meet with Minister of Urban Development Metmani Chaudhary. They discussed the importance of policy reforms & continued collaboration to ensure #Nepal’s urbanization process is aligned with the green, resilient & inclusive development agenda adopted by the Govt.

The World Bank is supporting the Govt of  Nepal to empower local levels & strengthen federalism through  NUGIP which finances critical infrastructure, livelihood support through public works & improvement of urban management & service delivery in strategic municipalities.

World Bank also providing technical assistance to federal & urban local govts on waste management, green building codes, climate-resilient infrastructure, local economic development & sustainable urban planning and land use.
