Kathmandu: 46,957 tourists have arrived in Nepal by Air in the month of June 2022 according to Immigration Department.

The latest arrival figures released by Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) show Nepal welcomed 46,957 foreign tourists in June. The arrival numbers are substantially low when compared to pre-COVID arrivals of 61,351 in June 2019.

According to the NTB, more than half of the total arrivals in the month of June were from South Asia. Nepal hosted 26,030 visitors from SAARC countries during the month. This includes 23,248 visitors from India alone. Likewise, Nepal welcomed 2,369 visitors from Asia (except South Asia) during the review month. Nepal recorded 8,351 arrivals from the US and 629 from Canada. Similarly, it counted 4,787 tourists from European countries and 1,549 from Australia and New Zealand.
