Taliban do not consider women as human: Malala Yousafzai
Islamabad. Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai has urged Muslim leaders to challenge the Taliban’s policies for women in Afghanistan. “Put simply, the Taliban in Afghanistan do not consider women human,” she said.
She made the remarks at a conference organized by Pakistan for girls’ education in Islamic countries. Malala told Muslim leaders that there was “nothing Islamic” about the Taliban’s policies.
The Taliban, through their policies, prevent women from studying and working. Malala, 27, was shot in the head by the Taliban at the age of 15 for speaking out on the issue of girls’ education. Agency
