Kathmandu : The probe commission formed to investigate incidents during the Gen Z movement is preparing to send a letter summoning CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli to provide his statement, Commission Chair Gauri Bahadur Karki said on Thursday.
Speaking to journalists at Singha Durbar, Karki said the commission is in the process of issuing the summons letter. “We are in the process of calling him — the letter is being sent,” he said.
In response to a question about what would happen if Oli does not appear, Karki said, “If he doesn’t come, we will deal with that when the time comes.”
Karki informed that the statement of then-Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has already been recorded. He added that the commission’s tenure has been extended by one month and that it will submit its report within the extended period.
