Cyril Ramaphosa has been re-elected as South Africa’s president

Kathmandu: Cyril Ramaphosa has been elected as the President of South Africa again.

South Africa’s parliament elected Ramaphosa as president after a historic alliance between the ruling African National Congress (ANC) and the main opposition party.

Ramaphosa’s government has been joined by the ANC, the Centre-right Democratic Alliance DA and some smaller parties. After a long-running power struggle in South Africa, Ramaphosa has formed a government with the main opposition party.

Before that, he was elected the first president of South Africa in 2018. Even then, after a tough struggle for power, Ramaphosa replaced Jacob Zuma and took the leadership of the party and the country.
