Kathmandu. In the 11th World Strengthlifting and Incline Bench Press (IBP) Championship, Nepal’s Deepa Bist has won the gold medal. In the competition held in Kazakhstan, she won the gold medal in Incline Bench Press (IBP) in the 80 kg Plus Law group.
Bista, who competed in the 95 kg weight group, won the gold medal for Nepal for the third time in the IBP Championship. She received a certificate and a trophy along with a gold medal.
Bista made a record by lifting 90 kg in the 10th edition of the championship held in Hyderabad last year. Before that, she won the gold medal for Nepal by lifting 72 kg weight for the first time in the 9th edition held in Kyrgyzstan.
She has been breaking her own record every year and winning gold medals for Nepal continuously in this game. It is said that players from 20 countries including India are participating in the championship held in Kazakhstan.
