Hyderabad : Dr. Nawab Mir Nasir Ali Khan, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Hyderabad for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, India, has been honoured with both the United States Congressional Medallion and the United States Congressional Proclamation — two of the highest recognitions granted by the U.S. Congress. The honours were conferred during an official ceremony held at Capitol Hill, Washington, D.C.

The recognitions were presented by U.S. Congressman Jonathan L. Jackson, Member of the U.S. House of Representatives (1st Congressional District of Illinois) and an esteemed member of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs and the House Committee on Agriculture.

The Congressional Medallion is a prestigious honour recognizing exemplary leadership and contributions to society, diplomacy, and global development.

The Congressional Proclamation is a rare and distinguished recognition awarded to individuals whose contributions hold national or international significance. This Proclamation will be officially entered into the United States Congressional Record, ensuring Dr. Khan’s achievements are permanently preserved in the historic archives of the U.S. Congress.

In his congratulatory address, Congressman Jonathan L. Jackson stated: “Dr. Nawab Mir Nasir Ali Khan has demonstrated exceptional leadership in strengthening international partnerships and building bridges across nations. His efforts in promoting global cooperation, sustainable development, and international trade reflect the highest values of diplomacy. It is my honour to recognize him with the United States Congressional Medallion and Congressional Proclamation.”

Congressman Jackson further commended Dr. Khan for his dedication to advancing peace, economic collaboration, and meaningful engagement between the United States, Kazakhstan, India, and the global community.

In his remarks at Capitol Hill, Dr. Nawab Mir Nasir Ali Khan expressed: “Receiving the United States Congressional Medallion and Congressional Proclamation at Capitol Hill is a historic honour for me. I am sincerely grateful to Congressman Jonathan L. Jackson for these prestigious recognitions, which strengthen my commitment to fostering international cooperation and shared global progress.”

These honours coincide with Dr. Khan’s selection for the Global Diplomat Award 2025, presented under the auspices of Global Eye Magazine USA, further acknowledging his influential role in promoting diplomacy and international collaboration among partner nations.
