Eight MoUs signed between Nepal and Thailand

Kathmandu –– Eight different memorandums of understanding have been signed between Nepal and Thailand. During the official visit of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to Thailand, two memorandums of understanding were signed between the governmental parties of the two countries and six memorandums of understanding were signed between the non-governmental parties.

Before the MoU signing ceremony, Prime Minister Oli and Thai Prime Minister Peth Thong Than Shinawatra held bilateral meetings.

On the occasion, they expressed their views on political and bilateral relations, trade and economic cooperation, aviation, tourism and culture, development cooperation, and regional and multilateral issues.

In the presence of the Prime Ministers of both countries, two MoUs were signed in the field of culture and tourism at the government level, while six MoUs were signed between the non-government sector on various issues.

On behalf of Nepal, Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba and Thailand’s Minister of Culture Sudwan Wangsufakijkosol signed the MoU on cooperation in the cultural sector.

Foreign Minister Dr. Deuba and Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Government of Thailand Sorawang Tianthong signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the tourism sector.

Six different memorandums of understanding have been signed between the non-governmental sectors of Nepal and Thailand in the presence of the Prime Ministers of both countries.

This includes a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh and Ramathibodi Hospital under Mahidol University, Thailand.

The memorandum of understanding has been signed by Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh President Prof. Dr. Chetraj Pant and Dean of Ramathibodi Hospital, Faculty of Medicine, Mahidol University, Professor Artit Unkanant.

A memorandum of understanding has been signed between Janata Agro and Forestry Nepal (JAFL) and Kasetsart University, Thailand.

A memorandum of understanding has been signed between the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and the Board of Trade of Thailand.

A memorandum of understanding has also been signed between Kathmandu University and Siam University, Thailand. The Confederation of Nepalese Industries and the Federation of Thai Industries have signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation. The memorandum of understanding was signed between the Nepal Chamber of Commerce and the Tourism Council of Thailand.
