The Election Commission (EC) has called on all candidates contesting under the first-past-the-post system in the upcoming House of Representatives election on March 5 to submit their election manifestos to the respective Election Officer’s office by February 15.

According to Section 37 of the Election Code, 2026, all candidates must make their manifestos public and submit one copy to the concerned Election Officer by the deadline. The notice was issued by Branch Officer (Law) Arun Adhikari on the basis of the EC’s decision dated February 10.

The Commission has directed all provincial and district election offices to keep a record of the received manifestos and forward the details to the Election Commission. The notice also instructs candidates to inform the respective Election Officer’s office.

Earlier, the EC had also notified all political parties to make their party manifestos public by February 15.
