The Cabinet on Thursday appointed Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal as the government spokesperson.

The post became vacant after former Minister for Communications and Information Technology Jagdish Kharel resigned to contest the House of Representatives election.

Kharel has filed his candidacy from Lalitpur-2, representing the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP).
