Kathmandu : The monsoon is currently active across the country, with significant rainfall expected in various regions.

The Meteorological Forecasting Division reports that a low-pressure system is influencing weather patterns, resulting in widespread cloudiness and moderate rain in several provinces, particularly Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali.

Heavy rainfall is anticipated in specific areas of Gandaki province, with the potential for thunderstorms and lightning. Forecasts indicate that moderate rain will likely continue in the hilly and Himalayan regions of different provinces, including Sudurpashchim and Koshi.

The Terai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpashchim are also expected to experience moderate rain, with heavy rainfall possible in the hilly areas of Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces.

The risk of landslides, floods, and soil erosion is heightened due to the anticipated heavy rainfall, particularly in the Sudurpashchim Province.

Authorities have advised residents to take precautions as the ongoing rains may disrupt daily life, agriculture, health services, tourism, and transportation. Staying informed through official updates is recommended to mitigate potential impacts of the flood caused disasters.
