A 4.7-magnitude earthquake struck the border area of Sankhuwasabha and Taplejung early this morning. The tremor occurred at 3:18 am.

The National Seismology and Research Center in Lainchaur reported that the epicenter was near Topke Gola in Sankhuwasabha. The earthquake was felt across several parts of both districts.

According to initial reports from local security officials, no human casualties or significant property damage have been reported so far.
