Nepal Airlines generated Rs 17.33 billion in ticket revenue during fiscal year 2025/26 while carrying 576,421 passengers on domestic and international routes. Although revenue rose by Rs 2 billion from the previous year, the airline repaid only Rs 2.12 billion of its debt of more than Rs 56 billion owed to the Employees Provident Fund and Citizen Investment Trust. The Narita route in Japan produced the highest revenue, followed by Doha and Dubai. Officials said high operating costs, including aircraft maintenance and personnel expenses, continue to limit debt repayment.
