Nepal EC Extends Party Registration Deadline for March 5 Elections

The Election Commission of Nepal has decided to extend the time for political parties to register for the March 5 election to the House of Representatives by another four days. The deadline was supposed to expire on November 26.
According to the Election Commission, the decision was made at the request of various political parties. In the latest deadline starting November 17 to 26, applications have been received from 106 parties. The Commission has stated that the number of parties registered with the Commission so far is 137.
