President Ram Chandra Paudel offered prayers and performed worship at Pashupatinath Temple on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri.

On the occasion of Maha Shivaratri 2082, President Paudel, accompanied by First Lady Sabita Paudel, visited the temple on Sunday afternoon for darshan and special worship. He was received with sandalwood paste and flower prasad by the chief priest of the temple.

At the temple premises, officials of the Pashupati Area Development Trust, representatives of local bodies, senior officials of the Guthi Sansthan, and staff members welcomed the President. It is an annual tradition for the Head of State to offer prayers at Pashupatinath on Maha Shivaratri.

Similarly, Prime Minister Sushila Karki also visited Pashupatinath Temple to offer prayers on the occasion. She was welcomed by officials of the Pashupati Area Development Trust.

After visiting Pashupatinath, President Paudel also offered prayers at the Shree Bhandeshwar Mahadev Temple located in Sifal.
