Kathmandu: Nepal recorded 620 new cases of COVID-19 along with 297 recoveries and one death from the virus on Sunday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population.
As many as 5,846 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 496 PCR and 124 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the virus.
There are currently 4,567 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 4,424 are in self-isolation, 143 in institutional isolation, 33 in ICUs and five on ventilators. So far, 11,967 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 313 cases of COVID-19 on Sunday.
