In the first month of 2024, 79,100 foreign tourists entered Nepal in January. This is 24 thousand 26 more than January 2023. In January last year, 55 thousand 74 foreign tourists came to Nepal.
According to the Nepal Tourism Board, 81,897 people left in January. The highest number of Indian tourists came to Nepal in January 24,139. During the same period last year, 16,436 Indian tourists came to Nepal.
Also, 7,267 Chinese tourists, 7,47 American tourists, and 4,619 tourists from Thailand have come to Nepal. In January, 3,812 foreign tourists came to Nepal from South Korea, 3,629 from Bangladesh, 3,421 from Australia, 3,276 from Britain, 2,229 from Bhutan and 1,568 from Japan.
