President Paudel consults former President, Vice-President regarding Terai-Madhes unrest

Kathmandu : President Ramchandra Paudel on Friday held consultations with former President Ram Baran Yadav and former Vice-President Paramananda Jha today.

The discussions were held in regard to adverse situation surfaced lately in Kaptangunj of Devangunj Rural Municipality in Sunsari, as well as in other districts of the Terai-Madhes.

During the meeting held at the Office of the President, Shital Niwas, the Head of State expressed concern over the rising tensions there, underlining the need for collective efforts to keep social, religious and communal harmony, tolerance and national unity intact, according to President Paudel’s press advisor Kiran Pokharel.

Former President Dr Yadav was of the view of addressing the situation with broader participation- of all political parties, civil society, religious leaders and the citizens.
