Bhadrapur clinches Indo-Nepal T20 Championship title

Jhapa : Bhadrapur Cricket Club has clinched the title of Koshi-Pathibhara Indo-Nepal T20 Championship organised for the first time in the district.

In the final match held at the cricket ground of Mechi Multiple Campus, Bhadrapur-8 on Thursday, Bhadrapur won the title defeating Rhinoland Cricket Academy of Assam, India by four wickets.

With the title, Bhadrapur has received Rs 500,000 cash prize while the runner-up team—Rhino Land got Rs 300,000, said Coordinator of the Championship, Gaurav Subba ‘Manoj’.

Bhadrapur’s Bhuwan Karki became the ‘Player of the Match’ and ‘Best Fielder’ as well as received Rs 11,000 and Rs 25,000 respectively.

Similarly, Assam’s Nibir Deka was named the Emerging Player and Raman Kadayan of Lucknow the Best Batter. They received Rs 25,000 each.

Likewise, Gokul Sharma of Bhandrapur became ‘Player of the Tournament’ and received Rs 51,000.

Bhadrapur Cricket Club, Gandaki Heroes Pokhara, Great Himalayan Cricket Academy Kathmandu, and Friends Youth Club, Dadeldhura from Nepal while Rhino Land Cricket Academy Assam (Guwahati), Global Star Cricket Club Lucknow, Cricket Coaching Academy, New Delhi, and Snow Lion Team, Sikkim from India had participated in the Championship that began from February 4.
