NASA-backed Odysseus craft lands on south pole of moon

Kathmandu. The American private company Intuitive Machine’s lander Odysseys has landed on the South Pole of the Moon. Odyssey has become the first spacecraft of a private company to land on the Moon. Similarly, the US has become the second country to land on the south pole of the moon. Even before landing, the navigation system of ODCS had a malfunction.
According to the report of the American media “New York Times”, no official information has been released about the situation after the landing of ODCS. However, mission director Tim Crane said that Odysseus is on the surface of the moon.
ODCS said that ODCS made an extra trip around the moon as the spacecraft speeded up before landing.
According to ‘BBC’, the place where lander Odyssey landed is called Malapert. Sunlight does not reach here. It is a flat place near the ditch. Melaparte was a Belgian astronomer of the 17th century. Scientists believe that even if there is water here, it is in the form of ice.

For the first time in 51 years, an American mission has landed on the moon. Earlier in 1972, the Apollo-17 mission had made a soft landing on the Moon. After this, the US sent the Artemis-I mission to the moon in 2022. However, that spacecraft did not land on the moon.
