President Ramchandra Paudel has suggested that the government should entirely focus on holding the forthcoming House of Representatives (HoR) election scheduled for March 5, 2026.

Receiving the annual report of the National Security Council of the fiscal year 2081/82 BS at the Office of the President on Sunday, the President asked the government to discharge its responsibility without impacting the upcoming polls, President’s Press Advisor Kiran Pokharel said.

On the occasion, the President directed the security bodies including the Nepali Army to pay much attention on security issues being more prompt than before.

Likewise, President Paudel expressed confidence that the National Security Council will work further effectively in coming days by analyzing the possible new security threats.
Prime Minister and Chair of National Security Council Sushila Karki submitted the report to the President, it is said.
