Tharu Kalyankarini Sabha delegation calls on PM Karki

Kathmandu : A delegation from the Tharu Kalyankarini Sabha (Tharu Welfare Association) met with Prime Minister Sushila Karki today to extend an invitation to the Tharu Rastriya Maghi Mahotsav.

Premilal Chaudhary, coordinator of the festival’s main organizing committee and also the President of the Sabha, presented the invitation to Prime Minister Karki for the event scheduled to take place at Tundikhel in Kathmandu on the forthcoming 1st of Magh (January 15).

President Chaudhary urged Prime Minister Karki to address the concerns and demands of the Tharu community, particularly regarding the reservation quotas for the Tharu community in the civil service.

In response, Prime Minister Karki emphasized that no individual should obstruct the exercise of rights that are already enshrined in the constitution and law. The exercise of rights established under the constitution and law should not be hindered by anyone, Prime Minister Karki asserted.
