The Warm Sun Rays

A Poem Composed by Ranjit K Sahu

The orange pink hue diffuses in the sky

Hailing in a winter day clearly warm

Each ray sweeps away the clouds’ colored dye

With a soft touch as the soft vapors swarm

A touch on the skin, a kiss on the face,

Rising from the east the rays sooth the mind

Misty winter is a time they displace

Somber thoughts which in the heart a space find

Unleash the burdens of the darkest hours

New dawns clearly cheer the gloomy lone soul

Rise with a happy mind full of powers

And prepare to live a life, neat and whole

Yesterday gets wiped out when the sun shines

Starting the new day with blessings divine
