The CPN (UML) has decided to file a writ petition at the Supreme Court, seeking the restoration of the House of Representatives.

During a meeting of the dissolved House of Representatives members representing the UML, it was concluded that the petition, bearing their signatures, would be submitted, party Chief Whip Mahesh Bartaula informed. Bartaula, along with Whip Sunita Baral, has been authorized to formally register the petition.

At the meeting, held at the UML central office in Chyasal, party Chair and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli emphasized that both legal remedies and a peaceful struggle should be pursued to restore the parliament.
