UNFPA Nepal Annual Report 2022

As Nepal moves towards middle-income status by 2026, women and adolescent girls must be central to this ongoing transformation. The voluntary commitments Nepal made at the ICPD+25 are absolutely crucial to realizing the full potential of this country. Sexual and reproductive health and rights are central to accelerating wider development progress in society and the economy.

Women still experience obstacles in accessing these rights. That is why we have set out to deliver three life-changing results by 2030, which is the deadline for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. These are zero unmet need for family planning, zero preventable maternal deaths, and zero gender-based violence and harmful practices such as child marriage. This Annual Report shows our work and progress made in 2022.
