Vibes of Evening 

A Poem Composed by Ranjit K Sahu 

Veering into it, the waves kiss the shore

In rosy glows their moods swing into act

Breaking silence of the rocks evermore

Each surge laps up its predecessor tract

Shrill sounds of shore birds scatter in the sound

Of and on breaking the sweet voice of waves

For souls soaking in stillness newly found

Each hour is a new gift of life to have

Vanishing into the folds of the tide

Each emotion evoked in the heart speaks

Nothing remains yours forever to hide

Inside our minds, our thoughts but drown or peak

Notes of lone life scribbled on pages of surf

Gather as memories in the brain’s turf
