World Health Expo (WHX) 2026 opened on Monday at Dubai Expo City, reinforcing Dubai’s role as a global hub for healthcare collaboration and innovation. Formerly Arab Health, the event builds on a 50-year legacy and is expected to attract over 235,000 healthcare professionals from more than 180 countries, bringing together policymakers, healthcare leaders, manufacturers and innovators to advance global health through trade, knowledge exchange, investment and partnerships.
India is participating in WHX Dubai with a strong industry presence and sectoral engagements, showcasing capabilities across healthcare, pharmaceuticals and medical technologies. Indian participation is led by export and industry bodies, including EEPC India, PHARMEXCIL, the Federation of Indian Export Organisations, CII and ASSOCHAM, together representing 97 companies. This includes 14 companies under EEPC India, 56 under PHARMEXCIL, 15 through FIEO and 12 through ASSOCHAM. The Kerala government is also participating with six companies. Overall, around 400 Indian companies are present at the expo, including private exhibitors. I
PHARMEXCIL, under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, organised the India Pavilion, highlighting India’s strengths in quality medicines, affordable healthcare solutions, innovation and reliable supply chains. The pavilion features leading exporters showcasing formulations, APIs, biosimilars, vaccines, medical devices and healthcare solutions, aligned with the Government of India’s vision of Make in India, Atmanirbhar Bharat, and India’s Healthcare Vision 2047.
The Indian pavilion was inaugurated by the Consul General of India to Dubai and the Northern Emirates, Satish Sivan. EEPC India Chairman Pankaj Chadha described WHX Dubai 2026 as “an unmissable exhibition uniting thousands of healthcare professionals under one roof to learn, trade and network,” while EEPC India Vice Chairman Aakash Shah said India’s medical devices sector is among the fastest growing globally.
A high-level healthcare CEOs’ delegation led by the Confederation of Indian Industry also participated in the expo, focusing on preventive and patient-centric healthcare, digital health, AI-driven analytics, organ perfusion technologies,  and advanced medical technologies. These innovations strongly align with India’s vision of building proactive and patient-centric healthcare systems.
