The Nepali Congress today unveiled its 10-point concise manifesto, outlining a vision for a respected, equitable, and progressive Nepal.

The pledge emphasizes creating a nation where citizens can live with dignity, dream freely, and access opportunities for prosperity.

The manifesto pledges to eradicate discrimination based on caste, religion, gender, class, or geography, ensuring equal opportunities for all. It also emphasizes creating an environment that encourages expatriate Nepalis to return home while offering a bright future for citizens residing in Nepal.

The party vows to promote transparent and legal wealth creation, strictly curb illegal accumulation and consumption of resources, and instill economic integrity and ethical practices as a cultural norm.

In agriculture, the Congress promises to eliminate irrigation and fertilizer shortages, provide insurance and fair compensation, stabilize market prices, and assist entrepreneurs in branding Nepali products globally.

In healthcare, the manifesto asserts that citizens’ access to treatment is a fundamental right, not charity. “Providing medicine and hospital access will be a core state responsibility, fulfilled through advanced health insurance systems comparable to developed nations,” it states.

The manifesto guarantees quality education for all, regardless of economic background, and vows to end discriminatory practices that favor the powerful over the marginalized. It calls for depoliticizing state institutions including courts, constitutional bodies, police, and universities, while promoting high-tech, digital governance across all services, realizing the vision of a Digital Nepal.

The Congress pledges to respect all cultural, ethnic, and regional diversities, maintain mutually respectful relations with neighboring and friendly nations, and pursue partnerships based on mutual benefit and economic cooperation.

Finally, the party commits to an open, competitive, technology-friendly, and environmentally conscious development, preserving Nepal’s invaluable natural resources such as the Himalayas, rivers, and forests for future generations, while ensuring inclusive participation of all communities in nation-building.
