Factories In My Mouth Will Bring Better Days
A poem by Ryan Quinn Flanagan
As favours do not diminish,
I will slime through the stabbing thorns
for you.
And I open my mouth and a factory appears,
and when you open your mouth, another factory.
I can feel them popping up all over my taste buds.
An industrial revolution pushing my cheeks out
well past the city limits.
And the factories in my mouth will bring better days.
Hiring entire boroughs of the unemployed.
Paying union wages.
A very competitive health benefits package.
Opportunities for career advancement.
Your kisser has only produced one factory.
When you shut your mouth, it closes.
