Destiny and New Beginning, Two poems by Deepak Shrestha

Destiny and New Beginning

Two Poems Composed by Deepak Shrestha

Destiny

You choose to be a stone-
and you are worshipped with complete devotion
as soon as you are carved into an idol

You choose to be a flower-
and you are plucked but gently
as soon as you flourish wholly

The choice is yours
that determines your destiny.

New Beginning

A new beginning is like

The sun in the early morning
that spreads warmth in the nature

The embryo in the womb
that creates the greater space for love

The new shoots in a plant
that satisfies hunger of hundreds

The moonshine in a clear sky
that provides cool breeze to release tension

A new beginning should be like

The fire to the dead body in the pyre
that releases everyone from the worldly chain.
