Inflame, poem by Sayani Mukherjee

Those unwavering rigid chores,

drench thy very essence.

As the freshly fallen droplets

evaporate before its refulgence;

Yet, thou stand still- invincible in self.

Like the victory banner,

shines amongst the disgrace.

The light goes out, shattering thy very soul-

The monsters, they unravel-

their masked innocence,

Shoving you into a dark hollowness.

But, infirmity can’t touch thy spirit,

For you are indomitable.

So, let thy inner flames

Burn those devilish unkindness

As the forest fire engulfs the wilderness.
