The Nepal Panchanga Nirnayak Bikas Samiti has warned that publishing calendars without prior approval may attract fines of up to Rs 100,000. As per the fiscal year 2020/21 formation order, institutions must obtain permission before publication. Fees range from Rs 2,000 for educational institutions to Rs 10,000 for commercial calendars. Violations carry penalties between Rs 10,000 and Rs 100,000, with District Administration Offices overseeing enforcement.
